Beyond The Mountain of Glass
In the fall of 2020, seven theatre creators from Korea, Canada, Chile, Hungary, and the U.S. came together after studying at L'école Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq. They formed Ohlavaka Ensemble and collaborated with puppeteer Kyle Maenz to create a story focusing on environmental awareness for young audiences. This led to the production of "Beyond the Mountain of Glass," an Alice in Wonderland-like tale about a girl who falls into a world of garbage. In this universe, birds are made from old bikes, spiders from umbrellas, and the frightening plasti-monster lurks at the bottom. "Beyond the Mountain of Glass" was developed during residencies in Paris and Guimaec, premiering for local student audiences at An Or Digor in January 2021.
